“I first want to state who I am; a 68 year old Black man with Asthma. Prior to me coming to this office, I was under the care of a Pulmonary Specialist for at least 5 years. Over that time I didn’t seem to be getting better and one day after hearing about the Asthma Center on the radio, I decided that the next time I have a problem that I was going to give you guys a call and make an appointment. Well it happened. My Asthma got pretty bad and I called. I told them of my symptoms I was told me to come in that day. I arrived and filled out the necessary paper and was seen by a doctor. (At this time I don’t want to attempt to mention names because my comments do not exclude anyone at that office and since I don’t know all of the names I will leave them out with no disrespect whatsoever). I was examined thoroughly and was told by the doctor “I can’t let you leave here in that condition.” I was there almost three hours while they worked to improve my condition. When I left, I was feeling so much better and happy that I called. I realized that I should have been coming here a lot sooner. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has treated me medically and humanly exceptionally well. I have an older sister with Asthma and one day visiting her I saw that she needed to make an appointment with the office. When I spoke to her again she told me how well they treated her and how much better they made her feel. I have told people outside of your organization about your service, especially if they tell me they have Asthma related problems with themselves or members of their families. Now I get a chance to tell you. Thank you for all that you have done for me over the past seven years. If you think that excellent medical treatment and a cordial professional atmosphere is not important then think about why I am writing this.
